5 lawnmower mistakes you’re probably making right now, do you know?

If you want to keep your lawn neat and tidy, you need to ensure that your mower is up to the task. You may be making some common lawnmower mistakes that could damage your lawn. If you have done any of the following, stop and maintain your lawn as suggested.

1.Not ever cleaning your mower 

After use, take a brush to remove any grass or debris from the automatic lawnmowers deck to prevent any clogs. Moisture and fertilizer traces can corrode the deck of the mowers. In addition, always store your lawn mower  in a shed or garage. Being left outdoor can cause rust or damage from debris.

2. Mowing with dull blades 

Dull blades on your  remote mower will only tear and pull up the grass rather than give a clean, even cut.  Not only will this cause long-term damage to the grass, but will make your garden look messy.  

3. Cutting grass too short

When you cut too much of the leaf blade , this will inhibit the grass’s development and weaken the roots.  This weakening can then leave your lawn vulnerable to invasive weeds, diseases, and pests. Youcan adjust the cutting height from 30-150mm.

4.Mowing in the same direction each time 

Experts say mowering at different direction will prevent the ‘bending over’ of the grass blades to create that lush and healthier lawn. You can remote your lawn mower at different direction to cut your lawn.

5.CUTTING GRASS WHEN IT IS WET

Firstly, wet grass actually speeds up your mower cutting blades being dulled. Besides, the wet grass will increase the difficulty of cleaning your petrol lawnmower.
