Road rollers, when given the right care and attention, can be a great piece of machinery with incredible longevity. When they are well cared for, road rollers can go for years with no real issues. However, in far too many cases, operators and mechanics will neglect their rollers for too long, meaning worse service and potentially even breakdowns. This list of maintenance tips will tell you how to keep your rollers in the best shape possible for as long as possible.

One Every day

1. Check the road roller for oil, water, gas leakage and overheating of parts;

2. The road roller checks the diesel engine oil, coolant and hydraulic oil levels;

3. The road roller checks the tire pressure and damage;

4. Check the instruments and lights of the road roller;

5. Fill each joint with butter.

Two Every 50 hours

1. Check and fasten the front and rear drive shaft bolts;

2. Check the gearbox oil level;

3. Check and adjust the foot brake and hand brake, and the oil volume of the brake booster;

4. Check the accelerator control and transmission control systems;

Three Every 100 hours

1. Replace the gearbox oil (replace every 600 hours thereafter), and clean the filter screen of the oil pan;

2. Replace the engine oil (replace every 600 hours thereafter);

3. Check the battery fluid level, and apply Vaseline to the battery terminals;
