Breaking hammers are mainly used in crushing stones, building demolition, road engineering and other occasions, and their application fields are very wide. Correct operation and maintenance methods will help the crushing work to proceed quickly. When the operation is improper, the striking force of the breaking hammer cannot be fully exerted, which may cause serious damage to the equipment. Today I will share with you the correct use and maintenance methods of the breaker.

1. The following checks should be done before using the breaker, and if there is any abnormality, please deal with it in time

1. Check whether the penetration bolts of the breaker and the splint bolts are loose, and whether the pipelines and joints are damaged and leaked;

2. Whether the hydraulic oil is too dirty and whether the amount of hydraulic oil is sufficient;

3. Whether the inner jacket has been excessively worn (one side of the drill rod and the outer jacket does not exceed 5mm);

4. Check the pressure of the nitrogen chamber every two weeks and the pressure of the accumulator once a month;

5. Replace the broken pipeline filter element every 100 hours, and replace the hydraulic oil and other filter elements of the hydraulic system according to the halved maintenance time.

2. The method of filling the breaker with grease

1. After 2 hours of continuous work, it is necessary to add grease to the drill rod, 15 to 20 strokes each time;

2. Be sure to inject lubricating grease when the drill rod is pressed in, otherwise the lubricating grease will go up to the striking chamber and enter the cylinder with the piston, which will cause pollution to the hydraulic system.

3. The correct use method of the breaker

1. The drill rod should be pressed on the crushing surface and crushed at right angles. Horizontal hitting and large-angle oblique hitting are strictly prohibited. Otherwise, the cylinder body will be strained and the drill rod and piston will be damaged.

2. When impacting, the drill rod should be pressed on the crushing surface and the front end of the excavator should be about 5cm away from the ground; if the excavator leaves the ground too much, the drill rod will not be able to press the crushing surface tightly.

3. When continuously impacting on the same impact surface, if the drill rod cannot be broken or penetrate the surface within 1 minute, please replace the impact surface and crush near the edge of the broken object to avoid damage to the drill rod and other parts.

4. Since the penetration direction of the drill rod and the direction of the breaker body will gradually deviate, it is necessary to always adjust the bucket cylinder according to the direction to keep the two in a straight line.

5. In order to prevent air strike, the chisel should be correctly pressed against the impact surface.

4. In order to prolong the service life of excavators and breakers and operate them safely, the following operating methods are prohibited.

1. Operating the oil cylinder to the end of the stroke for impact will cause the working device to lose the buffer and protection of the hydraulic system, resulting in damage to the oil cylinder.

2. Sweeping/digging materials with a breaker may cause breakage of the drill rod, abnormal wear of the shell and cylinder, and shorten the service life of the breaker.

3. Do not swing the breaker when the chisel penetrates into the rock. The structural parts of the excavator are very sensitive to lateral impact, and this operation will generate 3 to 4 times the lateral impact force on the working device, resulting in a reduction in the service life of the structural parts.

4. Use the method of lowering the boom to perform "pecking". This operation will generate a large additional impact load, causing the instantaneous load to exceed the bearing limit of the structural part and damage it.

5. The bucket cylinder is fully extended, and the support operation that raises the machine to the ground may cause damage to the working device.

6. Such as crushing operations in water or muddy ground. Except for the drill rod, other parts of the breaker should not be immersed in water or mud. For example, the piston and other related parts accumulate mud, which will shorten the service life of the breaker.

Five, the correct storage method of the hammer

If the breaker will not be used for more than a week, please store it as follows:

1. Install the plug on the pipeline interface;

2. Release nitrogen from the nitrogen chamber;

3. Remove the drill rod;

4. Use a round rod to hit the end face of the piston, and hit it with a hammer to make the piston back to the rear; add more grease to the front head of the piston;

5. In order to protect the breaker, please place it indoors, or put it on a sleeper and cover it with a tarpaulin to prevent rain.
